Who can register to build a website at ourporirua.com?

This website is intended for:

What happens after I register - will I get access straight away?

After you register for a site with ourporirua.com you will have to wait a maximum of 5 working days for your site to be approved.  Once your site is approved, we create a blank site template with administration rights. We then contact you with your login details so that you can get started.

Do I have to pay to build my own website?

This is a free service. There are no hidden costs. It is all free!

How long will ourporirua.com host my website?

As long as your site is maintained regularly, and your business or organisation continues to be based in or serving the community of Porirua, you can keep your site at the ourporirua.com project indefinitely.  If you do not maintain your site you will receive notification and instructions on the process for applying to retaining the site. If you do not modify the site as required in the notification, your site would then be removed.

Do I need any programming skills to build a website?

No programming or HTML skills are needed - we provide you will all the tools you need to create, customize and update your site with ease.

Will my page be loaded with advertising and banners?

NO! The webhosting space you receive is completely advertisement free. You will not see any form of advertisement from other websites floating around your page.

Does ourporirua.com offer businesses any support or training with their websites?

OurPorirua does not provide phone or email support related to building a website, however OurPorirua is able to provide you with online resources such as help manuals and users guides. You will also have access to our community forum for support.  Workshops will be run at your local Community Access Point during the year to help you build your website. We will keep you posted.
